Tip for longevity: Even though the blades are made of stainless steel, continuous exposure to moisture can cause them to rust. Remember to always dry the blade and razor thoroughly after use to keep the blade in top condition for as long as possible! Here is how to get the best and most gentle shave: Inserting the blade: Open the safety razor by twisting the handle. Place the blade in position and tighten carefully so that the comb-like edge of the base plate points upwards. Avoid touching the sharp edges of the blade.Preparation: Soften the hair with warm water. (Tip: Exfoliate your skin the day before to prevent ingrown hairs!). Apply shaving gel to the area so the blade glides perfectly smoothly over the skin.Shaving: Shave in short strokes in the direction of hair growth. Hold the razor at a 30–45 degree angle. Do not press! Let the natural weight of the razor do the work. Rinse the razor with water regularly while shaving. Be especially gentle around the knees and ankles, and never slide the razor sideways to avoid cuts.Aftercare: Rinse the skin with cool water (this closes the pores) and gently pat dry. Finish your skincare routine by moisturizing—for example, the Nomai Soft Oil, which contains soothing oat oil, is a perfect choice to maintain that soft result.Cleaning and disposal: Rinse the razor and blade, and leave them to air dry in a well-ventilated space. How often you change the blade is individual (for thicker hair, it's about every 5–7 uses). Dispose of the used blade safely in metal recycling, for instance, by taping the edges shut. (Note: Always keep the razor and replacement blades out of reach of children.)
