Tip: oil paint lifts cleanly with a dry cloth or paper towel before it fully cures, so you can skip the solvents entirely if you catch it early. Acrylic paint Wet acrylic paint: wipe clean with a cloth soaked in water. Dry acrylic paint: dried heavy-body acrylic peels away easily.
